Had 6-type hummus platter, calamari and turkish pizza and lahmajoun for appetizer. Sultan’s admirer, chicken casserole, alexander’s chicken, pasha kabob, adana kabob(fabulous) for main course. Had baklava, kunefe(super-duper), vanilla ice cream and oven rice pudding. Great food and great decor.
I had some Turkish guys cook the same dish I had with lamb and eggplant puree. Wow, the dish was so much like the Sultan’s Admirer. Seems authentic. What is missing are seasonal dishes and dinner specials. Check out the Olive Cafe in Portland, Me to see what season and specials they offer!
I really liked this! Very savory. I had a chicken casserole and it was so good. I also tried some of my friends’ meals – they were also quite good. The service is a little slow, so you may need to actively partipate in ordering 😉
Savory and complex cuisine. Superb shishkebab and vegetarian dishes. Try the eggplant imam and bulgur wheat. Service is a little rough, it can be noisy, and the furniture is uncomfortable (the backrest is just a 2×2 inch stick of wood). Decor is rich on texture and fabrics. Price is fair considering the complexity of the food.
