Perfect for take-out. The food is wonderful. However, a restaurant is in the hospitality business, and they never seem to get this part right. I live just a block away, the service keeps me away. The service is generally cold and indifferent. The restaurant is loud, with poor acoustics, and they have a penchant for seating a quiet table of two or three adults next to a boisterous family or a toddler with strong lungs – it can be like having a romantic meal at Chuck E Cheese. The food is wonderful, but sitting in the restaurant makes you wish you ordered takeout.
So Punjab Indian Restaurant, finding the loacation was easy it was very nice inside annd the food was amazing and so was the service. I give punjab 8 out of 10
Nice place with really good jersey style Indian food..
Excellent food…the staff is exceptionally professional, friendly & very attentive. After our first visit we were hooked & it’s now one of our favorites.
The Best Indian in Boston. Punjab continues to be my #1 pick for Indian food anywhere in and around the Boston area. I honestly don’t know how to describe how amazingly delicious I think their food is. My boyfriend and I have eaten here numerous times and never, not once, gotten a bad dish. We really want to try other Indian restaurants, and occasionally we do, after much torment and indesicion, but always leave disappointed and wish we had gone to Punjab instead. We have found others that are good, but none measure up to Punjab. Let’s talk about the food: The dal soup is fantastic. The samosas and pakoras are lightly fried to perfection. Even the mint and onion chutney’s they come with are diced and chopped to a cool and spicy (respectively) deliciousness. For entrees, some of our favorites are the Lamb Vindaloo, the Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, and my boyfriend loves the Dosa’s. The naan is soft, buttery, melt in your mouth heaven.Really, I could go on and on but I think it’s obvious by now how much I love this place. In fact, writing this review has got me craving it for dinner tonight!
Best Indian Food in Boston!. I’ve tried most and this IS the best indian food in the Boston area… I brought an India-born friend here and he agrees! Best chicken-tika-masala! The new liquor bar is fantastic they have excellent martinis. Service could be a little better – sometimes the young staff are not as attentive, but I think I’m training some of them everytime I go back LOL! Food is fresh, with aromatic herbs! Yummy! If they had a lunch buffet, I’d be there more often…
It’s way expensive, prices are exorbitant. Food is nice however they do not have lunch buffet. Ambience is good and lively.
