Had a good brunch at Tryst this morning. The corned beef hash was good, tho a little greasy. The french toast was decent. The western omelette was good and filling. Our server was slow, not really there when we needed something.
I have worked my way through the menu over several months. Every meal has been perfect. The atmosphere and service have been personal yet professional. The bartender, Andrew, is a master cocktail mixer. Tell him what’s you like and he’ll make it even better!
Uninspired food and Distracted Service. While not a really BAD experience, I wouldn’t return to Tryst. Made reservation for four and was seated in bar area. Nevertheless, drink orders took over 10 minutes to arrive, and waitstaff was generally AWOL. Vegetarian Pasta Carbonara dish was overcooked and uninspired, but the truffle fries were pretty good. Warm spinach salad had clearly been sitting out for a good while before it was served to me — ended up gloppy (for lack of a better term), but generally tasted ok. Noise was excruciating.
I’ve now been waiting two hours for food and the waiter just asked me if I want dessert. WTF!
Really good!. After hearing so many good things about Tryst, I had to try it. So my boyfriend and I headed to the restaurant on Saturday night. We had made a reservation so we were seated right away and everyone was really friendly! Our server was helpful in recommending what to order, and his recommendations were definitely delicious! I had scallops and my boyfriend had pork, both equally tasty. We also split arancini, also really good. I really want to go back for brunch, the menu looks great!
