I was able to try a variety of dishes at this cute but deceivingly large restaurant: chicken kara-age, shucked oysters, sea urchin, salad, fried tofu, takoyaki, sushi pizza, etc. Each dish continually impressed me! Even the most simplest dish, edamame, was clearly of a premium quality. One of my favorite dishes was the baked rice casserole, Itadaki Signature Doria, as it was a new experience for me. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of fish on the nigiris, and was pleased with the amount of rice in the rolls. The service was perfect. I would definitely come back and I am looking forward to bringing my young foodies (ages 8 and 10) to try this place out!

Tempura udon noodles are the best. This place is sort of close to my workplace, so my wife and I used togo to Itadaki last winter because they had this tempura udon noodleswhich was absolutely amazing – but apparently they only serve it inthe winter. Hopefully they’ll bring it back again when it gets coldbecause I crave that dish… After a bit of a break we finally wentagain this week. They still don’t have the udon, but apparentlythey’ll be starting the noodle dishes again soon – can’t wait! Thistime, my wife and I shared a few dishes, but what really stuck in mymind was the spicy calamari – it’s really tasty! The sake selectionwas pretty good too – I don’t normally drink sake but I tried theNigori (it’s unfiltered sake apparently) and it was surprisingly good- I will definitely try it again.

This place right on Newbury street in Boston has it all! The cozy patio creates a nice ambiente, especially in the summer when they have their own Jazz band. The sushi -just to name one thing out of their diverse menu – is really tasty and nicely decorated. Also a fully recommendable place for a drink! Various cocktails and awesome Scorpion bowls (in different colors!) are available at the bar downstairs.
