Came to sonsie for my birthday brunch! It’s perfect for large groups – There were 11 of us . And they have a great choice on the menu. The are generous on the portions and the food tastes good. We loved the French toast with caramelized banana and dusted cinnamon.

This caf I loved. Sitting at the table so I could watch the hustle street is perfect. On the recommendation of the waitress I had a summer offer of rose wine and I must say that I’m very refreshed. Overall, spirit cafes and interior liked the waiters were fast and I stayed there long enough for me to say that I’m good here. I will be back. Tuhle kavrnu jsem si zamiloval. Posezen u stolku tak, abych mohl pozorovat ruch ulice je perfektn. Na doporuen nice jsem si dal letn nabdku rovho vna a musm ct, e m to velmi osvilo. Celkov se mi duch kavrny i interir lbil, nci byli rychl a vydrel jsem tu dost dlouho na to, abych si ekl, e je mi tu dobe. Vrtm se.
Lovely atmosphere. Staff was friendly enough. I ordered prime rib hash eggs Benedict. Wasn’t given the option to order the beef to temperature. That seems like a Red flag that the beef is from last night. For such a nice place you would think I could get my beef medium rare. Despite the well done meat, the meal was good. Not great, but good. Beer selection was only average. Would definitely go back… But I’d order something else.
Great place for brunch! Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon is delicious & never disappoints. You’re paying for the location mostly, but the food is not bad.
I kinda love Sonsie. Good drinks, Parisian style cafe seating open to the street, and pretty good food. I’ve actually recently discovered their lunch menu, and they offer up some delicious salads with a nice ambiance. thebostondaybook.com
This is the only restaurant in Boston that I’ve visited where they won’t accept your out of country (Canadian) Enhanced Driver’s license as acceptable ID. They refused to serve a Mimosa to me. Lost my appetite to eat here. It’s 2014 – Canadians no longer require a passport to cross the border by land. I’m sure the rest of my friends enjoyed their brunch.
