I ate a lot of shrimp on my trip to Cape Cod And Boston, but Tico offered the BEST shrimp dish by far. Their shrimp taco with bacon and avocado was the best shrimp dish I’ve ever had. Ever! The location was great: a short walk to Copley Square or to Boston Common. The ambiance is chic; the staff, friendly and knowledgeable. They have a $5 afternoon special: the girls had the homemade mac & cheese with ham–delicious; Lori had the pork & cucumber taco, which she loved. I splurged on my taco, at $12, and it was mind-blowing. I have friends going to Boston in October, and I’m highly recommending Tico. Excellent!
Tico was a horrible restaurant. The prices were outrageous for the portions served! In addition the service was below satisfactory! I DO NOT recommend this restaurant unless you want to get ripped off.
Delicious food, cool outdoor patio seating. Feels like an oasis in the city
Good food, but really mixed service and unhelpful hostess. Not flexible for groups and a pretentious attitude about adjusting table set ups.
Tico talks!!. Great atmosphere, delicious food, for the fun, but educated in food, doesn’t take itself too seriously, crowd – which, in my opinion, makes it a winner. Very creative variations of Mexican standbys, with sometimes surprising ingredients. My service was great, and loved the vibe of this place…Yes, I suppose, if you are in a mood to kick back a few, you can do that too..there’s like 100+ tequilas listed -whether you’re a conneiseur, or god help, just need that many, this place more than suffices. Sports friendly too…Tico takes the ticket!
Not worth all the hype. Completely average food-wise….. If there just to drink… might be ok.
