The waitstaff at this restaurant KNOW their stuff. They know everything about everything on every plate that is set on the table and recite it as they set it down. If you have any questions–ask and they will know or find out from one of the super talented chefs. Honestly I’m not the biggest fan of sashimi because to me it’s like a slab of fish on a plate, whereas this is art on a plate. This is probably the only place I’ll eat raw fish!

Terribly rude staff. Very rude staff and poor service. The GM Nick was rude and the bartender was not friendly or attentive. I will never go back.

Better than O YA. A more simplified and nuanced menu with the highlight being the fantastic fish.

Smart food. Uni serves meticulously crafted and brilliantly inspired food. The staff is friendly, fun and extremely knowledgeable and the new decor stylish without formality. This is a place by and for foodies where one needs to come with curiosity, an open mind and a childish sense of wonder. Chris Gould invents food where every bite combines layer upon layer of purely extracted yet deceptively subtle taste. Few probably truly appreciate how much work, care and thought goes into each dish. Yes, it’s expensive but it is entirely worth it. Uni lays its own path and defies categories, the rarest of restaurants where invention and exacting execution mesh into pure joy.

Teriffic. A unique little restaurant, 10 or so seats at the sushi bar. A twist on traditional sushi. Worth a trip.
