There is absolutely no shortage of Italian eating opportunities in this part of Massachusetts. Today I found Stephanie’s in Billerica, a very casual restaurant with counter service. It looks like the main business is pizza, but there were many other sandwich, salad and entre choices on the walls behind the counter. The decor was a bit rundown, but the food was very good. I ordered the individual-sized Eggplant Calzone. It was huge, fresh, and tasty. It was served in 2-inch wide slices, with a container of marinara on the side for dipping. I probably shouldn’t have finished it, but I did anyway.
