I am giving this cafe a 5 for atmosphere. The food is basic but good, but it is such a great place to grab a cup of coffee and croissant with friends or a good book and just chill for hours! It is also right on the Boston Marathon route, so you can see the runners go by you as you eat a piece of cake and cheer them on. I went here multiple times with different people, and the service is quick and the coffee and food is reasonably priced. You can get a quick latte or a full sandwich and meal if you like. The breakfast sandwich was really good, but just a hair dry. I like really moist food though with lots of sauces, so that could have been my fault. I would defiantly go back for the atmosphere though!
Every time I am in Brookline, I have to stop here! The Greek pastries are very good! They have a ton of different pastries many in miniature form. You ask them for a box and they will put what you want in the box for taking it home. The cookies are also very good. The place is also a coffee shop and it is nice to just sit here with some pastry and coffee. I wish the pastry was less money, but the cost is worth it!
Delicious spanikopitas and very good paninis! Ambience like a typical chic little European bakery.
Mean Waiter. I came here and had some coffee with a friend. We wanted to catch up in a quiet atmosphere, but a waiter messed up our orders and got annoyed at us for asking him to fix it. We waited a half hour and he finally fixed my drink, but said that since my friend had sipped it already, there was nothing he could do.
One word: Gelato. That says it all. I fancy their nut varieties, but they are all homemade and a sumptuous indulgence.
