Went to Barcelona yesterday– party of six, including two children. Jason, our server, was amazing! He was attentive, humorous, gracious. One child is gluten allergic. Jason was vigilant, ensuring there was no cross contamination in any food he was served. He asked for and remembered Luke’s name throughout the meal. Wow!A truly gluten-free friendly environment. Thank you!In addition to Jason, the food also deserves a wow! Each and every bite was an explosion of flavor. Choosing among the tapas items was almost impossible, but we happily somehow managed. Definitely, Barcelona is a restaurant we’ll return to often!
Fantastic! Our favorite restaurant in Boston. Sitting outside, sipping sangria and enjoying tapas in Washington Square is a great was to spend an evening. Ambiance is wonderful both indoors and out. Service is amazing, incredibly attentive, yet not intrusive. Menu favorites: Mangalica, drunken goat cheese, pulpo gallego (my absolute favorite), hangar steak, seared scallops. You cannot go wrong at Barcelona!
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now but because of it’s always full tables and popularity, it is just so difficult to eat here. However, we made reservations on Friday afternoon for Friday dinner time. Even though it was so crowded, the staff was extremely efficient with the service and quick on their feet. We initially started with a bit of cheese and meat tasting. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE TWO – QUESO GALLEGO and the CABRA ROMERO. The Queso is much more soft than the cabra but they both taste excellent. We also got the standard Spanish Pork Sausages which I personally didn’t like as they were too raw and chewy for me but after all, that is the standard Spanish dish which is a top favorite. For tapas, we got the standard Patatas Bravas, which tasted even better with their sauce. We also got the Jamon and Chicken Croquettes which was my TOP FAVOURITE as they tend to melt in your mouth as you are supposed to have it as a whole. Creamy and warm from the inside, this is a must try! We ordered the Spinach and Chickpea Cazuella which, in my opinion, was NOTHING SPECIAL. it’s basically just steamed spinach and chickpea which I could prepare myself, and better. The waitress described it to us in the form of Hummus (traditional Arabic Dip) and being from Dubai, this was NOTHING like it. We were steered in the wrong direction with this dish. However, the Risotto was excellent. You could tell that the ingredients were fresh and wasn’t bland like most risottos I’ve had.Even though the portions were small, it doesn’t really matter because by the end if you order a couple of things, it really does fill you up. Overall, the experience was good and so were a couple of items on the menu, not all.
