Golden Temple 30 years ago was a small little restaurant with a bargain price for quality Chinese food. 20 years ago the restraint opened on the black next door with a snappy modern decor and more costly. In the current day the food and be spotty and the service too. The cost is higher than most restaurants and the portions are generous. The decor needs some attention.
Not your typical Chinese restaurant. It is upscale, clean, has a award winning Wine Spectator wine list, with quality natural meat and they cook with olive oil. Been eating here for 8 years. The Golden Temple Ribs are excellent. My favorites are clams and black bean sauce, golden cloud noodles, chicken and potatoes, mandarin chopped beef, Ginger Chilean sea bass,. Beyond havving a good wine the wines by the bottle are very reasonably priced, if you I don’t get wine I usually get a Golden Temple Mau Tai or stoli doli. They also deliver me food at home at 12 midnight.

Worst Service Ever. New Years Eve I place an order for delivery for two people at 6 pm. I was quoted an arrival time of 8 pm. At 8:15, I call to check on the status of my order and was told that it would now arrive at 8:45. I called a second time to double check on my food and was treated very rudely by the hostess and management staff and was told that they had my order but my food had never been made! The Assistant General Manager said that because they were busy that my food would have to go to the end of the list of deliveries and wouldn’t be sent until 9:45 pm. I told him that I was extremely unhappy and didn’t think I should pay for my dinner (coming two hours late). He claimed that they did not have the correct phone number to confirm my order. And thus it was my fault that the food didn’t get made. Now which is more likely? That I don’t know my own phone number, or that their staff wrote it down wrong? This ruined our night.
Food above average. But very intersting crowd. Saw one of the new kids on the block bloke there last night.
Swing American!. Don’t go if you like quality Chinese food. This place is an overpriced farce. It looks like a fine restaurant but the food may as well have come from a corner take out. Who puts large shreds of carrots in a tasteless Shou Mai? A cheap chef that’s who. Hot and Sour soup that is thick and sweet with mystery meat was gross. Look at the drink menu before the rude waiter grabs it off your table. $9 for a bad Mai Tai and no dancing? Save your money, stay home and open a can of La Choy it will be a much better experience
