Amazing. The food at Michael’s is top notch. I recently moved to Boston and this has quickly become one of my wife and I’s favorite spots. Friendly service, great recommendations, and delicious sandwiches. The Rueben is incredible. I can’t wait to bring my friends and family when they visit!
This place has by far the best sandwiches I’ve found in Boston. The meats are excellent. My favorite is the beef tongue reuben. If you’re hesitant to try beef tongue because it doesn’t sound appetizing, order a reuben made with it and you’ll change your mind. This place doesn’t take cards and doesn’t let people read because there are only about 4 tables in the place. Please find somewhere else to cry about it. The rest of us are here to talk about food, not Harry Potter.
Best sandwich!. Michael’s corned beef sandwich is probably the best tasting sandwich I’ve ever had. It is very big and will fill you up, and there are many different breads and toppings you can add to the sandwich. The other menu items here are excellent as well.
THE CORN BEEF KING !!!. Michael is the CORN BEEF KING! nobody in the Boston area gives you a sandwhich like Mike with a low price to boot. My favorite sandwhich is Michael’s of the rack Turkey with all the trimmings it’s insane. Chopped liver great potato salad and slaw make nice sides or go great on the sandwhich.Mike and his staff treat you like family and always offer up a sample to try if your not sure…..also love the fact they serve Dr. Browns sodas a nice touch.
Michael is a nice guy and the food is great as far as Boston Jewish delis go. The nova is excellent as are the turkey, corned beef, and pastrami. The decor is poor at best and it has a dirty look to the place especially back by the bathrooms. And the one and one reason that I’ll never go back after five loyal months is one of the counter workers. His attitude is unforgivable and beyond disrespectful. After spending 20 dollars on a sandwich one might expect a better overall experience. In summary, food good, owner good, staff horrible. So horrible I’ll never return and will convince all my friends of the same. So horrible that as a former cook I’d rather prepare it myself and for my friends or even open a better version next door to drive them out of business.
