Sol Azteca is always wonderful. The service is great and the atmosphere is really nice. I always get the burrito vegetariano, except one time I had fajitas. Both are yummy! We also got guac this time! My Mexican friend once told me this was the most authentic place in the area! I don’t know but I love it!
To satisfy your Mexican food craving.ordered the crispy tostados. Too much food for 1 petite lady. I ended up eating half only.good crowd of students. Nothing spectacular.
We wanted to try a place with authentic Mexican food and since this place is on our street, we decided to go here. Initially, we were served warm tortilla chips with salsa which is always a great thing to start with. These are free and you can order as much as you want – which makes it so good. Then we ordered their Sangria which was also pretty excellent. I don’t drinks lot of wine but I do enjoy Sangrias and this was strong and fresh, which honestly was great in itself. Among the dishes – things that you absolutely need to try! Chicken Fajitas, Enchilladas Verdes, Pescado El Cilantro and literally any of their burritos. I feel like these are probably the best dishes on the menu in my opinion. Also, the portions are huge and super filling so one platter should be more than enough for one person. The good thing about this place is that they have an option where you can select 3 different dishes and pay the price of one singular dish almost – even though the quantity of each item reduces, it gives you a lot of variety. Lastly, we ordered the Coffee flavored Flan. I’ve never actually had Flan and a part of me thought it would be similar to caramel custard. The Flan in itself wasn’t bad – consistency wise – but since I’m not a fan of coffee flavored desserts, I’d rather order the vanilla one for next time. Overall, cute place and great service!
This is the WORST Mexican food I have had in my life. The steak was tough, over cooked, and fatty. The food is honestly disgusting. My girlfriend and I agreed that Taco Bell is 5 star dining in comparison. I would not feed this food to my dog, and honestly, he probably wouldn’t eat it anyways. Please, save your money and go somewhere else. Sunset Cantina on Comm. Ave blows this place away!
Not Good at All !. Dinner at Sol Azteca was probably the most unpleasant eating experience we have ever had. The overpowering salsa came top heavy with onion & it was downhill from there, My partner and I came here with a church group. We both ordered the Tacos al Pastor, which consisted of three overgarnished corn tortilla tacos, refried black beans, and a smattering of Mexican rice. Almost an hour after we ordered, my meal was brought to me. It was cold. YUCK! I did not even touch the second plate, I could feel the coldness of the meal & I had the waitress take the meal back. The 2 ladies sitting across from us waited almost 90 minutes for their food, they were wicked mad. I truly believe that any Taco Bell in Boston could have served us better meals. We are from Texas and I think we know good Mexican food. We felt really bad for our friends who picked this place. For the record, Tacos al pastor are typically served as street food, they are cooked while you wait. So, Sol Azteca please do some internal quality control and clean up your act!
Consistently Good Mexican. It’s been around for so many years…one of the best Mex in the Boston area!
Great Restaurant. We visited this restaurant in the dead of winter but boy was it worth it – I am generally not a big fan of Mexican food but this is a great place. The management of the restaurant is very nice, polite and helpful. The food is great – less cheesy than many other typical Tex-Mex places…excellent place!
