Amazing! Best breakfast food I’ve had in Boston! Love the Challah French toast! So good . Love xoxo

So So. They give you (overly toasted) bagel chips with caraway cream cheese as a free appetizer here. The matzoh ball soup is good. The New Yorker (pastrami on cissel (caraway rye)): I’m spoiled by Sam LaGrassas – this pastrami was dry and the fat was chewy and it was just blah. The Lupo: I liked the potato pancakes. From the description I’d thought they would be more like thin mashed potato-filled pancakes used as bread for the sandwich, but no. The brisket just plain sucked. Fries: My favorite part of the meal. Battered fries! They were excellent dipped in the veggie gravy from the Lupo as well as in the side of Russian dressing from the New Yorker. oversharielle.com

I have been here twice and both times they have messed up my order and won’t offer to take it back and get it right for me they don’t know the difference between eggs and egg whites or white and wheat toast not a Weight Watchers friendly place either

I love it there!! The food is so much fun. Have never seen so much authentic Jewish food in my life. Super yummy!!

Loved my Reuben, the goat cheese (?) and toasted bread that my server brought me was out of this world. I didn’t realize toasted rye could taste that good. Server was on top of things and seemed very nice to other customers.

Well the food was decent, but not out of this world, but the service was HORRIBLE, very short-tempered, agressive waiter who kept pushing for payment, and to get us out! I told him to relax, twice! He grabbed the credit card slip out of my hand–I’ve never had anyone do that before!

Overpriced, undergood. Zaftig’s is a very pricey restaurant for the quality of the food. The matzo ball soup is downright subpar, and the latkes are unacceptably deep fried. The pastrami is OK but nothing to write home about. It is not on the same level as Schwartz’s in Montreal or even Katz’s in New York. The typically long wait for a table doesn’t justify either the quality of the food or the size of the bill. I like the kind of food they serve at Zaftig’s, but they don’t do it very well.
