All of B. Good’s ingredients are locally sourced which makes it a nice option for a burger or quality chicken sandwich. I also really like their sweet potato fries and organic soda dispenser.
Aside from the small drink sizes, I’ve got nothing bad to say about the place. I tried a West Side or Left Coast or something like that, burger. Guac, Pico, pepper pure…and added bacon. Bacon was crispy, burger was juicy, and it all came together with a spicy finish. Fries were perfectly imperfect; obviously fresh cut and freshly cooked to feed a lunch rush. The seasonal milk shake, though unfortunately small (says my mouth, not my stomach) was like liquid Apple pie. Maine Root fountain drinks were only a disappointment, again, in that I couldn’t take a larger one with me.
First time at b good. And I wish they had one where I lived!!! Wow, first the customer experience, EVERYONE working behind the counter was polite and helpful… Real customer service to make you feel like they appreciate your business. The food… Wow, the pickles are amazing. They were a homemade zesty dill and complimented the burger perfect! Their fries, yum… Everything tasted fresh and I truly enjoyed seeing local produce. The wait was nothing… Yes it’s not mcd fast but seriously this is quality and it shows. From order to food in hand it was still under 5 min.. Will be going again before I leave town!!!
B.good…………..Isn’t. Wow, a new burger place close to my home? Have to check that place out. So I did. It’s a concept thing. Ya know, healthy, fresh locally sourced ingredients, all natural, keeping it real kind of place. They even tell you the name of the dude whose ice cream is used for the shakes. It’s an open kitchen with the produce organized and proudly displayed. Burgers can be beef, turkey or veggie. I was a bit out of my element here so I went with something different, a burger from the menu, albeit doubled. The Rocket featured marinated mushrooms, arugula and provolone. I also chose a wheat roll over white and sweet potato fries verses traditional. The burgers are grilled verses fried (griddled) and the fries, I don’t know, they’re not really fried. They get tossed into some kind of oven thing. The fries were tasty I suppose, they even had some char on the edges, but they were not crispy at all. The patties were big. Had I known, a single would have been plenty. Perhaps since I didn’t tell them how I wanted my burger, they tried to cover the spectrum. One patty was well done while the other was raw in the middle. It really didn’t matter in the end. My entre was a mushy, flavorless ride through burger purgatory. The mushrooms were almost non-existent, the arugula, an empty gesture. The only thing I could taste was the cheese. It was certainly not worth finishing, and I didn’t. Health conscious people looking to indulge without the guilt might find this place tolerable, though I think a lot of them ordered salads. For burger lovers, if you’re depressed and want to stay that way, then eat hereAnd make it a double.
