Visiting from California. I had the catch of the day, and it was fresh and melt in your mouth good. I’d come back for sure.
Always excellent. We had an excellent dinner at Legal’s in Burlington. Mine was exceptional…broiled striped sea bass with basil butter on bed of red skinned potato salad with dijon mustard, with asparagus on the side. This was a special in early August with local striped bass. Another family member had salmon with sliced almonds and another had shrimp with garlic on rice, all of which are on the regular menu. We finished with a Boston creme pie to share which turned out to be an individual cake that was a different, light version of the standard. Legal is consistently a great dinner out in the Burlington area. While it is not inexpensive it is predictably excellent in a sea of suburban chain restaurants and everyday fare.
A bit more expensive than expected, $25-30 or more for nearly all entrees. Portions not extraordinary. Disappointed by the salad that came with carb cake combo, a bit heavy on the dressing. Something in my scallops kept crunching like grains of sand. Yuck! Did enjoy the crab cake, but not worth it.

Legal Seafood is a Legend!. I’ve been dining at Legal Seafood for years. It’s dependable for the freshest, most delicious seafood. I am a fan of Lobster Rolls. I’ve been to many restaurants in search of the perfect lobster roll, and thus far, no one offers a better lobster roll than Legal Seafood. My husband usually gets the Fisherman’s Platter, his favorite at Legals, and the clam chowder is as good as everyone says it is. The lobster roll is stuffed with mostly tail meat, just the right amount of seasoning and mayo, and served on a lightly toasted roll – just as it should be.
The lobster is soooo good! Service is great. Go early it gets crowded.
Delicious but not in the $$ range; $$$ is the norm; the atmosphere was sophisticated yet the service was timely. Kid menu friendly
