I would just like to start by saying a huge thank you to the Capital Grille in Burlington, MA, the manager, the staff and the Amazing waiter Gilberto that we were lucky enough to have, they all contributed in a big way to absolutely making our evening outstanding and did everything, plus more to ensure we were comfortable and happy during our special evening to celebrate our 26th anniversary on the evening of November 4th, 2017. We had 7:00 reservations and we were seated at our table by 7:10 on a night that was so incredibly busy in there. While we were waiting to be seated the hostess kept us informed as to when our table would be ready and insured us we would be seated soon. She was so courteous & friendly and it made you feel so welcomed and that beautiful smile she had never seemed to disappear even amid the hecticness of the restaurant that night. When we were seated there was a lovely note on the table thanking us for celebrating our special night there and there were little hearts spread across the table cloth, perfect extra touches. Gilberto approached our table and with an incredibly warm smile congratulated us on our anniversary and he was so genuine and real (I feel often times many waitstaff just play the game to make their tips, but with him you felt he was genuine). As we discussed wine and food his suggestions and thoughts were great, it was like he already knew us. We both started with the French Onion soup which was so tasty, it was not salty, nor was it overly sweet and the cheese was melted perfectly. For dinner I ordered the Filet Mignon and my husband order the N.Y. Strip and both were cooked perfectly to how we ordered them. My Filet was so tender and full of amazing flavor that it just melted in my mouth and my husband said his N.Y. Strip was perfectly cooked, juicy, salty & just a little buttery AMAZING. Our sides of Au Gratin Potatoes & Sauted Spinach were great as well. Gilberto checked in on us just enough to make sure we were pleased with everything and to see if we needed anything else. Being attentive yet not overly so as a waiter is a key thing for me. After dinner we were surprised with a beautiful plate that said Happy Anniversary written in chocolate and on each end there was a Flourless Chocolate Expresso Cake and the Capital Grille Cheesecake which was ironic because my husbands favorite dessert is cheesecake and mine is anything chocolate and add in some expresso and its perfect. To go along with the desserts we were each given a glass of wonderful champagne and the desserts and champagne were compliments & congratulations from the Capital Grille. We savored every last bite and sip. We ended the night with cappuccino that had a delightfully recognizable espresso taste, low acidity, rich structure and rich sweet foam which made it the perfect ending to a perfect night. We would like to send out a big thank you to Gilberto for truly making the night exceed our expectations in every way. His personality, his warmth & knowledge of anything we asked him about along with that connection he made with us right from the beginning that made us feel like we were lifelong friends with him and just his true genuine character made this the best experience weve ever had with a server anywhere. We will definitely be requesting Gilberto on our next visit. This Capital Grille location has an environment and food that are beyond expectation, the staff are polite and warm and friendly even amid the chaos of an excessively busy night and everything from the service to the food was exceptional. It really did exceed expectations. Thanks again for a perfect anniversary celebration!

8/10/2015Restaurant Week starts Sunday with a 3 course dinner for $39. Have a food allergy, call and speak to a manager and let them know so they can make a change. They do not substitute items except for allergies on this special menu because it is such a great deal. 7/29/2015I had a business lunch here and ran into an interesting situation. The waitress had difficulty understanding our order. She brought steak and thought we said the same as other folks at our lunch. We asked for Salmon. The lunch came out and the potatoes were missing. We waited 15 minutes for the correct lunch to come out and then the side of potatoes followed. However, others at our table received no potatoes with their dinner. I will notify the management because this situation seems unusual and rather sloppy compared to their normal service. So what is their normal service? Well, I really dolove this place! The atmosphere is very nice and the food and service is usually exceptional. The food was great and cooked toperfection. The atmosphere is lively and very enjoyable. I just wish thecost wasn’t so much money. I hope that this issue is address so others don’t have the same issue. I will update this review when I hear from the management.7/30/2015I was contacted by both the corporate team and the manager of the Burlington location. They were concerned about the experience and agreed that this is not the normal service they strive to achieve. The manager has agreed to take care of the next lunch for us to show that The Capital Grille lives up to high standards. As I usually say, if you don’t like your experience, let the management know and they often will make the situation better for future guests and compensate you for your negative experience.

Saved the day. I had a reservation at a French restaurant get canceled due to them closing last minute on Saturday @ 5:45 PM. I was able to contact the Capital Grill in Burlington and get a reservation for an hour later. This reservation was for a anniversary dinner and the little touches they provide are wonderful. I have dinned here many times and everything is always perfect.

Exceptional service, but mediocre meat. First let me say that I had some of the best service at the capital grill that I have had anywhere. Unfortunately, the steak was not great. Most cuts were not prime rated, and it showed. At the end of the day a steak house has to be judged by their cuts of meat. It might also be nice if they reworked the desert menu, as it was far from distinctive. Would have gladly paid more to get a prime filet, as opposed to a select one.

Steakhouse Extrordinaire. My sister took me to the Capital Grille for my birthday. What a treat! Although it is a pricey place, it is worth the occasional splurge. The decor oozes elegance with dark wood, leather chairs, and subtle lighting. Service was top notch, and the food… sigh… magnificent. The steaks were perfect – flavorful, cooked exactly as I requested – medium rare. The sides were good too, potatoes and veg. But I was enjoying my steak so much, the sides were almost an afterthought. The wine, an Argentinian Malbec was the perfect accompaniment. I enjoyed it so much, the waitress gave me the name of the wine, so I could pick up a bottle or three.ETA: subsequent visits were not as good as my first visit. Service was still excellent, but the food was noticeably inferior. It wasn’t terrible, just leaning more towards mediocre. Still in search of a great steakhouse.

Ms.. If you are a woman or in a group of women, you will get substandard service. The valets won’t park your car because they’re waiting for men whom they think will tip them more. The hostess will seat you at the worst table. The waiter will ignore you and will be rude to you. And guess what? After all that, the food isn’t even that great. Don’t bother.

2 of our parties 10 steaks were not cooked correct. However, management took them off the bill and gave desert for all on the house. Bad situation turned around.
