Great modern rustic atmosphere. The food variety is around pasta with limited other entrees. The salmon dish was too oily for my liking. The salad was very good. My guests said that the pasta was fantastic! They likes small portion sizes too. The cost if higher end about $50 a person with a drink. Would like to see less pasta and more entrees.

Being part of a flight crew we eat in extraordinary restaurants world wide. This is one of my favorites. The food and ingredients are always fresh and you can watch the chefs doing their craft.

When first decided to have dinner at the Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington MA, we were excited since we heard great things. The service was good at first and overall the food was okay (much better and authentic Italian in the North End).We are sitting outside in the patio area and I look down and I see a mouse looking back. At first I was totally grossed out, my wife jumped since she hates mice. I think kept looking down and would see mice running around and sitting right under another persons table. So gross! The manager came over, did not apologize, did not offer any comp on the meal and said it s from the construction going on across the street and to not write anything online about this. I was shocked, how unclean this was and what a terrible customer experience this was (one of the worst I have ever had).We then decided to move to the middle area next to the fireplace to get away from the mice, we all looked over and saw mice chasing each other, I counted 5 total mice.If they do have a mice issue that is isolated to the patio, they should close it off, call an extermination company to close off any holes, set traps, etc. This is a restaurant and I can only image how many there are in the kitchen, if I saw 5 different mice during my 2 hour dinner at Tuscan Kitchen! I will NEVER go back to the Tuscan Kitchen!!

I dined here by myself at the bar on a business trip, and it was nice. I just had the boar gnocchi, and it was excellent. I’ll write another review if I get to come back, which I would, given the opportunity.

A Welcome Impression. I can be skeptical of small chain and niche upscale restaurants because they can play off of simple to hit marks: good bread service, a nice wine list, large portions of quality meats, and a positive but common atmosphere. I found my meal to be generously portioned but more importantly superbly prepared at Tuscan Kitchen. The chicken dish I enjoyed left little to be desired. A half chicken properly roasted and brined served with an umami-salty-sweet roast squash and Panchetta Spinach sides was cooked and flavored simply but with attention to each of its parts, and not one or another as distinct parts of the dish. I really havent had a dish recently that I couldn’t find a fault in. The service, from a charming Hostess to our attentive but unobtrusive waitress was ideal. Yes, the Molten Chocolate cake was a standard, but with a house Almond ice cream and accomplished approach to a classic, I was quite pleased. Yes, the bread service was good but a roasted tomato and balsamic dip made it a service to write home about.

Tables too close together, loud, food inconsistent. My husband and I finally made it the Tuscan Kitchen last night for dinner. We were looking forward to a relaxing night out. Unfortunately, we were disappointed and won’t go back. We started with carpaccio. The beef itself was very good, the greens were very over seasoned and the carmelized onions on the plate didn’t make any sense. My husband then had a salad and I had a half portion of butternut squash pasta with a sag brow butter sauce. The pasta was good but the butternut squash filling was too sweet. The dish tasted like a dessert. For entrees my husband ordered the special which was a ribbon pasta with shaved white truffles for $50. This was the most disappointing dish. The pasta was a bit heavy and just tossed in butter. The chef was generous with the white truffle shavings, but overall the dish had no flavor. My eggplant tower was good. A combination of fried and sauted eggplant. So the food did not meet expectations.Top that off with a table for two with barely enough room to serve and no way to not overhear conversations at the tables on either side and this was not a good experience. Our waitress did the best she could, but there was not making up for the table situation and the food.
