  Pizza at its Best. Armandos Pizzeria has the best New York style pizza I have had since growing up in Brooklyn. This is a plain and simple, eat-in or take-out, neighborhood pizzeria that makes delicious pizza. It starts with hand rolled dough, an ample amount of rich tomato sauce that is covered with mozzarella cheese and then finished with a helping of tangy, grated Parmesan cheese. The result is a luscious combination of these traditional Italian fixings atop a thin layer of crispy, golden brown bread dough that is mouth-watering. We had the small plain pie and relished every mouthful. For those who want a heartier pizza there is a wide assortment of vegetable and meat toppings to choose from plus they also offer a large selection of hot or cold subs and pasta dishes to eat-in or take-out.

  Undercooked and Bland. Armando’s used make a good, if unexciting pizza. Not any more. Their pizzas are so undercooked, its more like a pizza pudding. In addition, their cheese, their sauce and crust are even more bland when undercooked. It is a bad sign when the strongest flavor on a pizza is of salt and the cornmeal they used to coat the crust. If you ask them to cook a pie a little longer – they won’t follow through.21 Nov, 2009Classic Pizza Pie.. Armando’s makes a very pretty pizza, a crispy browned crust with a 3/4 inch raised edge. A thin coating of red sauce forms a handsome backdrop to the cheese cooked until the peaks are lightly browned. Toppings are spread evenly with a deft touch. The cheese is composed in a fairly thin layer though it is well-matched to a light pleasant sauce. Overall however, the pizza does not have a lot of flavor. This is partially mitigated by the nice overall good balance of flavors and textures. Even better, the pizza does not leave a strong acrid aftertaste. More a European-style pizza than most. Staff is efficient. The few booths are very cramped.

  Great pizza, chicken parm and meatball subs. Owner there alot, counter help is not friendly but worth the trouble parking.
