Outdoor Dining On the Charles. We went here last night for Restaurant Week and the weather could not have been more perfect, which meant we could sit on their gorgeous patio along the banks of the Charles River with unobstructed views out to the Longfellow Bridge and downtown Boston. We took our high top table by the bar and ordered a round of appetizers – the winner of the bunch, and perhaps of the entire evening, was the oysters. Flash fried and tossed with a truly fiery buffalo-style sauce, then topped with pungent blue cheese crumbles, these little gems are worth a special trip on their own.I was not quite as pleased with my lobster risotto, which was a bit dry although I did really like the bits of preserved lemon to balance out the rich lobster meat. The other folks at my table seemed to like their main courses very much and portion sizes were quite reasonable. Dessert was another high point, my cappuccino brownie ice cream sandwich was rich, intense, and very complex. I wish I’d gotten a chance to explore more of the bar menu since their cocktail list was ambitious. Service throughout the meal was smooth and efficient. I’m eager to go back again and try their normal menu, especially the lamb sliders on the app menu.

What a great place this is! We were lucky to obtain the last available for the evening. To boot, it was Restaurant Week in Boston. The prix fixe dinner choices were representative of the establishment’s regular fare. My husband had the seared scallops for an appetizer, the striped bass for the entree and the mini ice cream sandwiches for dessert. I chose the lobster arranging for the appetizer, pork tenderloin for the main. Everything was professionally presented. The flavors were complimentary and tasty. I was very impressed by this gem of a restaurant.
