Au Bon Pain is a universal Standard so the food is — well lets say the Food is what it is! However, this place really needs a makeover, it is seriously worn down!
Come here for the ambience. Regulars are huddled outside at the stone chess tables playing against a Harvard dropout who makes a living as the cafs resident chess master. Apart from this battle of minds, students and professors rush in to grab a large cup of coffee on the go to survive morning classes. If you have the time to enjoy your coffee at ABP and soak in the atmosphere, you are bound to hear heated debates about everything ranging from particle physics to the latest geopolitical developments in the Middle East.

Nah, not great.. Other than the location across from Harvard Campus, this trendy looking bakery cafe was a disappointment..Prices were too high (for what you got for the $) and the staff rudely abrupt…gee, I didn’t think being a paying customer was an imposition…..I’ll gladly go elsewhere next time…
Good food. Good prices. Harvard Square ambiance.
