Euro Mini Cafe-Bohemian Gem. Subterranean includes seasonal street-level outdoor mini-terrace. One of the last old coffeehouse gems. It has a Parisienne feel, serving up Spanish fare.
Way under-priced. I have to admit that when I visited it for the first time, I had a experienced frequent customer with me who did prepare me for the menu — which is prepared by well educated & well traveled owner, who goes the extra mile to choose the best available ingrediants (from gourmet Coffee, to the food).. In my opinion, the quality of it’s drinks, salads and sandwiches were waaaay underpriced.
One of the last old-school Harvard Square coffeehouses. Has a very euro feel (Kafka, not Armani) Food and coffee is prepared in a micro kitchen by lanky, slightly despairing, graduate students.
Pretentious. It’s the garage cafe that thinks it’s europe. if that works for you, then show up in black and smug away. it’s a real scene i’m sure as it’s been here forever. just not my scene.
