There are no gluten free options. I requested of the server to prepare my meal free of gluten and they ensure me that this was possible. However, immediately after starting eating, I learned that this precaution was ignored completely. I got very sick and reported the establishment for failure to comply with the regulations for allergens and health concerns. The server started yelling and insulting me as I shared my concerns and paid for a meal that sent me to the hospital.
02/02/16 — Changsho in Cambridge is located on the busy Mass Ave but have a small private lot next to them. Decent size buffet ($12.95) with some dim sum items included. They also have a very small lunch menu available. On the first trip to the buffet, I picked up some excellent charred green beans, Shumai that was really tasty and an excellent Salt & Pepper Calamari that also included the tentacles and was perfectly cooked and tender. The shrimp from the Seafood delight was really tasty and tender, as was the Fried Fish Fillet. The Kung Pao Chicken with Peanuts (spicy) was my least favorite. They have Soup Dumplings(!) on the buffet, with black vinegar and sliced ginger for dipping sauce. What a treat even if they were a bit short on the soup part. The buffet was a bit on the pricier side but that was fine since the quality of the food on the buffet was excellent. thedailylunch-woburn.blogspot.com
Slipping further and further. Though still a handsome space, the once above-average Chang Sho appears to have been hit by hard times. Food is about 20% higher in cost than average, but now features lower quality ingredients and substitutes. They need a serious makeover, as it is a poor value for customers who expect one thing and are served another.21 Jan, 2011Descent to mediocrity. Once Changsho’s quality was, on average, a little higher and more consistent than most. It was kind of a flagship with its handsome, spacious interior and good service. Lately however the food has dropped a couple of notches. Dishes that once had some subtlety are now fried, overcooked and/or covered in goopy, sweet sauce. They still do vegetables well, but I can’t recommend anything else. Decor is very nice – way above average, and service is still above average. They also know how to mix a drink.
Not that good. I used to work in the building next door and we ate at the Changsho a few times both for lunch and dinner.I had heard good things from other patrons, but I found the food expensive and bland. The decor is fine, and I have no complaints on the service or cleanliness. But the food was just so-so. Nothing special. I prefer another Chinese place down the street in Harvard Square, cheaper and better.
Good Chinese. I love the food off the MENU at Changsho. Do NOT go for the lunch buffet unless you really like grease. The menu, however, offers a wide variety of tasty options. Service is always good and the management is always welcoming. I like the egglpant and bean curd dish.
