I was born away by the Prix fixe menu at the Elephant Walk. The offerings of 3 and 4 courses for unbelievably reasonable prices and with a limited but very accommodating and diverse set of offerings, I enjoyed a full and comfortable meal. The duck crepe and duck breast are separate but equal delicacies. The Cambodian entres are flavorful and tremendously fresh. Their desserts- the chocolate caramel tart specifically – exquisite and finely crafted. I had a terrific experience from seating to table service. All I can sat is wow. High expectations not only meet but exceeded at Elephant Walk Cambridge.
Slow and expensive. Not very good food. we waited for over 15 minutes for service then another 30 minutes for our not so good food; close to cold and equal to something one might get at an all you can eat Chinese restaurant but double the price.
Excellent. I’ve been here twice, and both times my experience was fantastic.I ate at the bar both times. It was quite busy on a weekend night, so you are looking at a wait if you don’t have a reservation, thus why I ate at the bar.I can’t say enough positive things about the food. Every entree, appetizer, or salad I’ve had here was absolutely excellent. I also enjoyed the decor and atmosphere, and the service was good.
I thoroughly enjoyed the meal from appetizers to dessert. Pricey, but not for Cambridge, MA. I had never been to a Cambodian/French restaurant, but thought the fusion was good. Would recommend. The Cambodian dishes are very similar to the more familiar Thai restaurants; not to be unexpected. Service was very good on a Thursday evening.
Misses the mark.. A weird hybrid of French and Asian cuisines. However, it shoots wide of the mark on both. The recipes are inept, and the preparation is clumsy. Waiterpersons are decent enough. You pay a lot for a journey into culinary hermaphroditism.
