High quality ingredients be here. The beef was fresh. The buns were excellent, buttered and grilled. The homemade pickles were very good. The fries are fresh cut and were very good. Best burger ever? Let’s not get carried away here. It was good, but not great. The sum should be greater than the parts. It just wasn’t. Certainly better than any fast food burger; but, I expected more.
Fun Toppings. This is a hangover burger rather than a gourmet one. The toppings star the show rather than the meat, but sometimes that does the job. I wish they had better fries. I do appreciate the open condiment bar. oversharielle.com
Good stuff. Simply one of the best burger joints in town! Not only is the meat good but the different topping options make eating their burgers a pleasurable experience! Every time I eat one of their burgers I’m left full and blissful.
Pretty good 4 what they do. I’m learning that in the burger world you can’t compare apples and oranges. What I mean is that fast food/flat old fashioned style burgers are not the same as pub burgers you can like both but they are different. Flat Patties is the latter half and I’ll tell ya what, that more I learn the more I realize that I like this style better. This place knows what they are doing. Nice juicy burgers served on a decent roll with what ever toppings you like done right. The fries and rings are also pretty good. The place is not too expensive and even on a nice day, if you are patient enough, you can get seating inside. I’ve been there twice thus far and will go back again when I’m in the area. As for some other burger places in Harvard Square Well, there are more reviews coming.
The best grilled chicken sandwiches. Even better in their new location. The best cooked to order burgers and chicken breast sandwiches. House-baked and fresh toasted sourdough buns. Sauce and lettuce all for $4!!! Hand-cut fries are not very good, tasting of cooked skin and not very flavorful oil. They should use peanut or sunflower oil and cut off the skins. Exceptional value. Their $5.50 fried fish sandwich is really good too… good fish, tartar sauce and cole slaw on a buttered/toasted bun. Add their pickled onions and jalapeno’s and it is world-class. Located in a cool new venue on Brattle Street with loft seating upstairs. The new location is much nicer than the old one in the Garage. .12 Jun, 2009The chicken breast sandwich is nicely done – fresh, with a good sauce on a decent bun. Fries are store made. Value is outstanding, particularly for pricey Harvard Square.
Pleasantly Suprised. I went there with my son a while back and would be a regular if I lived closer. I think it has all the other burger places beat when you compare quality/price ratio. The quality is pretty near the top, very flavorful. The prices were very reasonable. Glad I noticed this review today because my son and I will be in the area next weekend and I know we’ll be giving them a visit now.
