Frank’s Steakhouse has been around before I can remember! Wow that is a long time. They have a steady following of local folks that love the atmosphere and drinks. The food here is okey, but nothing to think of this place as a great place to eat. The price is okay, but there are so many options today that there are better choices.
Franks just gets it. If you want a real solid meal at a very fair price and not pretentious then go to Franks. When you finish and you say that you love it , like David Andelman of the Phantom gourmet says, you get it. Simple as that.
Franks has great steaks, I highly recommend the south beach steak as it was very good. Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed it. Franks is reasonable priced if you can afford Applebee’s then you can afford franks. The staff is very friendly to all persons including us.
Frank’s is a great place to eat if your looking for an excellent steak for a reasonable price.
Took my wife on a date and the food was very good the chowder had tons of clams. The steaks were cooked just right. The service was very god to. The filet was better of the two steaks i suggest you give it a try
Great Steaks Cheap. Stepping into Frank’s Steak House is like stepping into a Time Warp. The high ceiling and wood every where makes you want to double check that you are still in Cambridge. The old bar is surrounded by mounted TVs. Boston sports is front and center here. Most of the dinning room seating will allow you to see whats on TV but you have to look over the menu and the low prices. Appetizers includes a plate of loaded nachos smothered in cheese and an onion loaf of deep dried onion rings which are cut thin. The main course is where creativity takes over. The Filet Mignon with tarragon butter was delicious although part of it was over cooked. Their signature dish, the sizzling steak, is not something to over look. Think fajitas only without all the stuff that comes with fajitas. The waitress was great and kept the drinks filled. The entire restaurant looked polished and beautiful. For the portions, this place is a bargain right on the same street as some higher priced competition. There is a small back lot for parking and street parking is also available. A great casual restaurant for every day meal.
The prime rib is awesome! Very comforting and tasty as it should be. But the NY Sirloin medium rare, although well cooked, the meat itself has not much flavor. The beer list is pretty standard. I thought i order the one that i haven’t had before: Tremont Ale, but they ran out of it. People seem to enjoy the place. Mostly regulars.
