Its been around since 1938. Yes that is from one year before the world war began. Good solid place with lots of locals and wide choice in steaks. We went for a london broil and a chicken steak. In sides we had mashed potatoes, french fries and the classic new england chowder. The chicken steak was a bit overdone. The london broil was a bit too tough for medium rare and smoky but enjoyable – didnt feel like it was marinated. We also had a couple of beers. The people were very friendly and helpful. Best part of the meal was the clam chowder. Yummy as usual but not like Legal seafoods. Summing up, Frank’s is like our local family steakhouse. Nothing special, but just right for a cosy family meal.
