We went there for a light dinner. Had a gyro sandwich plate and a souvlaki plate. Beef and lamb combo. While I liked the gyro, the beef was juicy, cant say the same about souvlaki. The lamb was soft but not tasty at all, kind of bland. The salad was good though. Also had greek coffee and liked the exotic taste. Like with sugar though unlike some others. The map of Greece was an interesting addition, we spent some fun time identifying the islands we know of. Polite staff, a bit easygoing, not that we were in a hurry
OPA! This cozy corner is the most authentic Greek spot in the area and continues to have a humble feel despite it’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives debut.Guy Fieri doesn’t kid around. The gyro is indeed delectable. But the moussaka is where I’ve found my Greek Corner comfort. Flavorful ground beef is served in a large lasagna-like slice with eggplant and creamy yet somehow fluffy cheese. It’s truly love in food form. All of the specialty plates include a Greek salad and choice of rice or fries, so you’ve got a hefty meal on your hands for around $13.The rest of the menu items I’ve sampled including the soups and pita sandwiches have also been scrumptious and affordable. It’s all Greek to me!
The food is good but the service is horrible. I ordered lunch for take out and when I came to pick up my order, the staff carried on with their leisurely conversation while I was right in front of them and my food was sitting on the counter. Also, I finish class at 9pm and made it there by 910pm. Despite the website saying that they close at 10 pm the staff said that the kitchen closed at 9 on Sunday and Monday. I went on a Wednesday night at 9 and was told the kitchen was closed. I would not come here again because of the rude staff.
Great Mousaka and Taziki!
Loved the Mousaka!
Amazing restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was even better! Highly recommend it.
Not the right stuff.. The Greek Corner has been around for a long time. At one time it had good food reasonably priced but that was a long time ago. Today the restaurant is still cheap but it is indifferent about the food and the ingredients and the place is frequently filled with an acrid haze and smell from the kitchen. The place is understaffed, so service is slow and inconsistent. Tables are really jammed together, so with the noise, the smoke and packed subway feeling the experience is downright unpleasant.
