Back in August my friends and I decided to take advantage Dine Out Boston (formerly Restaurant Week) and visit Henrietta’s Table in Cambridge.I have been hearing rave reviews from friends and coworkers about Henriettas Table I jumped at the chance to make a reservation here with my girlfriends. Located within The Charles Hotel in Cambridge, MA this farm-to-table restaurant has been wowing guests for 15 years. To start I chose the New England Salt Cod Cake with arugula, lemon herb vinaigrette and tartar sauce. It was nice and light and I loved the tang from the tartar sauce.I was really excited about my choice of the Ozark Mountain Grilled Smoked Pork Chop with apple sauce and appleJack demi. I struggle to cook pork at home because sometimes it comes out perfectly and other times it is overcooked. I now have a meat thermometer in the house so hopefully that will solve my cooking issues. It still won’t compare to this amazing dish at Henrietta’s Table. The mashed potatoes made from locally grown potatoes were out of this world. Seriously, I have never had mashed potatoes as yummy as these. They were unbelievably creamy!!While I was stuffed to the brim I had to try the fresh, warm, Blueberry Almond Crostata served with vanilla bean ice cream. I usually steer towards chocolate for dessert but I am so glad I chose this. The crust was so flaky and the vanilla bean ice cream was the perfect match to the tart blueberries.I loved everything about Henriettas Table the food and atmosphere were both comforting and cozy. I will be going back in the near future to check out the ever changing, seasonal menus!Check out Henriettas Yard Sale on Sunday Thursday offering two pre-fixed coursed menu options: 2 courses and 1 side for $32 OR 3 courses plus 1 side for $37. Food was amazing and fresh. I felt like everything was custom to them. The bread was flavorful. We ordered a spinach walnut salad which was amazing. The walnuts were roasted and a bit spicy. For my entree, I ordered the swordfish with pea puree which was also a great meal. Good proportions as well. The only part that was disappointing was the cheesecake. It was too bland and the raspberry sauce too sour

Best breakfast EVER and ANYWHERE! The hash browns (amazing crust) and ham chop (crusty sear with moist tender thick chop) were the highlights. Service on spot and water was even great (no chlorine taste, must filter). Not a coffee drinker but drank theirs very happily. Was there visiting and hit it both mornings (and will return!) as the food was high quality and impeccably prepared and presented. Breakfast doesn’t get better than at Henrietta’s! My companion found delicious vegetarian fare as well. HIGHLY recommended!

Best pork chop. ever.. It was a few years back that I went here but I have been trying to get back since! I went for dinner before a show and it was just the most inviting and delicious experience. best pork chop I have ever had to date.

Not Bad, but still a Disappointment. It’s not that Henrietta’s Table is bad, I just had much higher expectations from reading other reviews and skimming their website and menu. I usually try to avoid dining in restaurants located in hotels but I figured I’d give this place a shot but once I walked in the front door and found myself in a gift shop my suspicions were confirmed. The atmosphere was going for rustic but intstead had a commercial/chain vibe. The appetizers were the best part of the dining experience: Maine rock crab cakes and the crab and corn chowder. The cocktails were strong but not tasty. The meat was cooked well for the main dishes but did not stand out and you have to order sides to accompany your entree. This kind of bothered me because I like the whole plate to be well thought out by the chef and incorporate sides to tie the dish together.Overall it wasn’t terrible but don’t save this place for your special restaurant outing.

Reliably good American farm-to-table restaurant. Never outstanding, but does serve amazing breakfast buffet with a great breadth of offerings. Tries but does not succeed in breaking away from a transient hotel ambience.
