Tried and true. I can’t really complain too much about Pinkberry, its success several years ago seems like the thing that spurred the frozen yogurt trend which I am very grateful for. I really have no complaints about the yogurt, the selection of flavors is nice and the quality of fruit toppings is great (something I always look for – it seems that frozen yogurt places have better fruit toppings than many ice cream places). The sizes are a little on the small side if that’s a big thing to you. Personally, I find that I like my frozen dessert portions on the smaller range, I don’t like feeling rushed to eat it before it melts and I don’t like it to feel heavy like a meal. The only issue I have with the pinkberry yogurt is that the tanginess feels a little forced in some flavors. It’s not enough to deter me from eating it and I think I have only noticed this since I have made it my mission to explore frozen yogurt shops in the Boston area. The texture is wonderful, though, and I will continue going here. I have heard that pinkberry is coming out with greek yogurt flavors and I have not tried any of those yet, I’m not sure if the Harvard square store even has them yet, I guess that’s just one more reason to go back sometime soon and see!
Not too impressed. At these prices – averaging $5 – one would expect nirvanic yoguphoria. Instead, one is presented with a stingy dollop of nicely sour yogurt marred by the use of powdery tasting flavors. Mouthfeel is good, as are the cones. Toppings are okay.
