  I’ll edit my review after we order food and drinks. However to start I am truly unhappy with the service at this point. We requested a seat on the patio and the host told us to seat ourselves. We walked back to a 4 top in the corner and sat down. The host immediately scolded us for sitting at a 4 top when there were only 2 of us. This I have a huge problem with. There were no other 2 tips available and the only other table was a long table uncomfortably shoved between a 4 top and a 6 top. There was one woman sitting there grading papers, making it very awkward to sit at a table with a woman we didn’t know. I insisted we sit at the 4 top so we could have room to put our bags down. The host was very unhappy. In turn I contemplated what he would look like choking on a menu. We begrudgingly moved to the long table. I have been in the restaurant industry since I was 16 and if I ever pulled the crap this host pulled I would have been fired or written up. Where does a two ton gorilla sit? Where do guests at your restaurant sit? I think I’ve made my point. Let’s see how the food turns out. Unfortunately I can’t give this place at 0. The oysters look so sad.

  Adult food in a cozy setting, intelligent use of great ingredients, wonderful late autumn deck, the mussels with lime chili in a coconut milk an green tomatoes was small but delicous, and the special monkfish stew with a chickpea eggplant tomatoe was the dish of the year anywhere. Havent been here in a few years and the quality was generally improved. Wonderful bottle of anjou cab france, unexpected. Only missed note, the crav cakes are horrid tastless texturless lumps of fried paste. Come on owner, get thosr fixed or deep six them! Great service esp from manager!

  Wonderful Experience. We went to Red House for the first time last night and had a wonderful experience. Service was excellent, I loved the Music Room, food offerings were diverse and interesting, including vegetarian items. The tiramisu was the best I had ever had. A delightful graduation dinner.

  Great!. Really good food and excellent service. We ate here on our last evening in Boston and couldn’t have asked for a better place to be.

  Great little place. Bread is from Iggy’s, the best. They have smaller versions of entered as well as larger. The shrimp pasta was delicious, and the lamb chops very tasty. We sat outside on a raised porch. Highly recommended.
