Definitely a bad experience to start with they lost our reservation and even though we had the reservation number they were not very helpful in solving the problem. We did eventually get a table however we had to wait almost 45 minutes after the reservation time to get it. The food was OK but the value proposition was way out of whack. The food should’ve been less expensive and the service should’ve been much higher for the price.@

Lovely spot, good not inspired food, poor value, great service. This restaurant used to be superb, now it is good and but for visiting captains of industry. Wine has little in the $50 range. Most are $75 and up. Our waiter picked us an Abruzzi for $75 that was treble wholesale price at a wine shop.Appetizers are small and expensive. $18 buys you 4 small oysters grilled plus three slices of what tasted like an excellent kosher hotdog–all grilled.$30 buys you a small–good but not at all special– pasta main dish. Mine was tepid.Desserts were creative and quite good.Essentially, these are high Manhattan ( or London or Paris) prices, for good food, but nothing special. Perhaps Rialto counts on visiting Harvard parents splurging ( there were 2 sets with tee-shirted offspring) but not repeat business.

Now completed the Charles Hotel circuit, took 2 long. Was both elegant, delicious & someone else’s treat.

This is a great resturaunt to go to when you want to treat yourself. They have a great atmosphere and the food is pricy but delicious. One bonus to this place is that all their veggies come from a local organic farm.

The lobster was small, but it was absolutely beautiful!t And It must have been good because my mother wouldn’t give me any. Amazing food, larger than expected portions (except the lobster), friendly service, and an atmosphere that is upscale without being overly pretentious will keep me coming back each time I win the lottery or rob a bank.
