Ramen was delicious! My partner and I got the spicy miso The broth was thick and full of flavors. The noodles were very good, a bit chewy– just the right texture to our tasting.
Just what the doctor ordered on a cold rainy day in March. We had been by the location a couple days earlier with friends and a day or so later we decided to stop in. The spicy pork ramen was great – a healthy portion of spicy salty goodness with lots of noodles and ground pork. Reasonably priced too. I could definitely see stopping off at this joint after a few rounds of drinks with friends – too bad it’s not open all night!
Best Ramen outside Japan…even the Gyoza was a surprise from this tiny food shop. When a line forms and other food stalls are empty, you wait. Offering beer to match the name would gain it a 5!
Totally lacked any flavor – really disappointing. Soggy frozen noodles and no soul. The kimchi was good as were the pork buns.
Great stuff, great value.. While not an expert on ramen, I have had it quite a few times. Sapporo broth was just right, with strong flavor and not too much salt. Their fried rice and teriyaki is also very tasty. Amazing value too.
Wrong broth!. I don’t know. when it comes to ramen, i suppose the broth is the soul of the bowl. so when i went into this place, i was full of anticipation, hoping to slurp a good mouthful of broth, and going oooo and ahhh over it.turned out, this is not the kind of broth i was looking for. i don’t know if this is more authentic or not, but i’ve had ramen in other japanese places and i’ve always liked the broth. sadly, in comparison to this, i feel like i’d enjoy the nissan instant ramen’s broth better…even the noodle wasn’t as al dente as i had expected. and the meat/veggie on top… feels a little meager to me. maybe one of the reason why i’m never a ramen fan to begin with.oh well.:)
Super-sized noodles. Sapporo Ramen features bowls of noodles nearly as large as their little space in the mall. They offer veggie broth in addition to carnivore fare. It’s a nice place if you can stomach all the all the college kids.
