Its a nice, cozy place with a large variety of cup cakes! Grab a few while you walk around at Harvard Square! The lemon and the blueberry were good but the others were a little too sweet! Probably what flavors you choose also decides the sweetness of your cupcake! The place is small.. yet good to sit, relax and look around people walking by !
Pretty but cupcakes are stale. This is a cute concept, but the cupcakes do not taste good. They are dried out, and were probably frozen (or stale). Similarly the frosting is not freshly made butter-based frosting.
Tea and Cakes. It’s beside my favorite shop in Harvard square – Tealuxe which also has tantalizing baked goods but to which I have only been for hot and dry loose leaf teas. My better half and I walked by this cupcake shop after buying some tea and decided we couldnt leave without sampling the cakes.Perhaps my Keylime Pie was a bit dry, but the frosting and pie filling shot in the center were fantastic. the flavors were simply the best I’ve had in a cupcake. We also bought a Snickerdoodle cake which was said to be very good, a mocha-mint which was unusual (I’m really not a coffee drinker of any sort) and a Bananas Foster Cupcake which looked wonderful. So many cupcakes to choose from – I’d like to sample the pancake flavors next time.Perhaps I’m not connoisseur, but I enjoyed my purchases at Sweet. I recommend it.
Disappointing. As I continue to sample cupcakes on all my travels, I found Sweet disappointing. I tried four of the minis. All of the cake was dry; either overcooked or old. Except for slight hints of flavor, they are basically the same – SWEET. The cupcakes are pretty and they offer a variety of flavors. However, when looking for a treat that tastes good, I would not recommend Sweet.
