Cambridge is a good town and Toscanini’s lends premium ice cream to the city vibe. The flavors tend to lean toward a sophisticated adult palate, but that isn’t to say that kids are left behind. Salted caramel, malted vanilla – not bad ways to introduce children into grown up flavors! They offer a full coffee bar as well. Samples are given, but restricted in number when the lines grow long – and who wants to get stuck in line behind someone trying 9 different flavors anyway – suck it up buttercup and pick something! And seating is limited so don’t always plan on sitting if they get busy -which they do.

Tasted lots of flavors like kulfee, strawberry, Irish cream, salted caramel and then finally brought the goat cheese brownie. Totally worth the wait in the line in the cold weather at 10pm on a Saturday night.
One of the best ice-creams I have had. Especially the Butter and chocolate one. I had a double scoop of Butter and chocolate & Cream and Cookies. And while others failed to complete even their single scoops, I meticulously worked through the entire thing – because it was delicious. Walking back from a Boston Symphony Orchestra performance on a rainy Boston night spent an hour at Toscanini on Central Square. Nice vibrant atmosphere and the stuff isvery cheap for their quality
Oh man – some of the best icecream! Peanut butter cookies and Creme is literally my dream flavour (and might I add – it’s much cheaper better than the Ben & Jerrys version). Crazy amazing selection of flavours and all the ones we had were super!
Omg!I heard in Toscanini’s ice cream there is some magic ,where every one is getting addicted after the 1st visit .I experienced it after my first sundae and kulfhee
We seek out good ice cream in every city we visit. This is some of the best we’ve had. The Khulfhi (an Indian flavor with cardammom and pistachios) tastes like excellently made Khulfhi from India (better than almost all Indian restaurants in the US – which usually serves icy and articficially flavored stuff). The mint chocolate chip, burnt caramel and chocolate #3 were also outstanding. Make this a must if you visit Boston.
