I wanted to let everyone know of the lack of quality and customer service that I have experienced in the past 6 months. I have been a loyal customer of Tahiti for many years. The food was for the most part good, not great. You can play the numbers and KENO while you are eating and having a couple of cocktails. We have always asked to be served by the same waiter for many years. By the way he is great. There was never a problem with the food and drinks. About a couple of months we started to notice the lack of quality in their food rice tasted burned, appetizers really greasy. Drinks, there was a young bartender he really made good drinks. If you pay $7.35 you at least want to feel a little effect from the cocktail. Well the great bartender left and they put this older gentleman, which I felt he was not putting alcohol in the drinks so I asked our waiter to take it back and let hi, know why. He returned with a better drink but we could see the bartender giving us a dirty look. Last week we went in for lunch but our regular waiter was taking care of a large party and asked us if it was ok for another waiter to serve us due to his assignment. We agreed and ordered our drinks the older bartender was there and I could swear he did not put any alcohol in the drink. The waiter came to see if we wanted another drink. I told the waiter that the drink had no alcohol in it and it was not very good. He went to the bartender to let him know. They both started laughing. To say the least my wife and I got up and after 20+ years of going to Tahiti we are not going back. Our money is good anywhere.Food for thought, if they treated us that way after going there for 20 years, I wonder how they treat a new customer.
