Bad greasy food DONT GO!!!. This was the worst restaurant I have visited on the East Coast! Taste brought to you only by cheese and cream. Risotto and scallops (pretty sure that these were frozen) with basically no taste. Fried prawn dish with wasabi was not even Asian street food standard. I felt sick afterwards like somebody stuffed a pound of magerine into my stomach. For that they still charged us 100 USD. DONT GO!!!!
Very nice food with emphasis on raw and cooked oyster preparations. Shortcomings include potential for poor service and lack of craft beer awareness. Having said this, we would never fail to dine at The Oyster Company during any visit to the area.
Amazing service, great food and fabulous cocktails…. What the F else do you need??? The Sunshine Martini (for grapefruit lovers only) rocks!
I don’t get it! This place is awful. It’s dirty even at the very begging of the busy season, the menus are even dirty sticky. The food choices are limited and SO INCONSISTENT! I ordered the same drink 3 times and it was different each time. The glassware was dirty. The flatware us old, bent, twisted and appears dirty. I never complain but people give positive reviews so we tried it twice. Do not waste your time. It is deplorable.
Strike Three…….well you know the rest!. Oyster Company in Dennisport, MassThis is the second time I’ve been to the Oyster Company, the first time I didn’t care for it at all but in all fairness it was a year or two ago and we came on the last night before they were closing for the season. This time we came up to the cape over the Labor Day weekend so I was hoping for a better experience and well I guess you could say it was better then last time, but that’s not saying much. The restaurant was extremely crowded and we were seated at a table for 2 near a door, thank God, because the restaurant was like an oven so we propped the door as to get a little air. We did mention to the waitress how hot it was and she knew but for some reason management didn’t want to do anything about it. Strike One. Time to order drinks, martini’s, only they forgot the liquor. Strike Two. Appetizer was good, the Point Judith Calamari. Dinner came and I got the Dijon Panko Encrusted Swordfish. It sounded so good but it was dry. Strike Three…….your out!The one thing you may want to try is the 99 cent raw bar, my DS went during the summer and said it was good. They only have it up to 6:30 pm
The atmosphere is nice. Table for two can be private enough if your looking for that. Room is small so book ahead. Food was decent and service very good!
Took our son and his wife there last weekend. Superb seafood.
