Absolutely terrible restaurant. Ordered take out from here to my hotel as a visitor to boston – hoped for authentic and quality Chinese – ended up with the worst egg foo young I have ever had and the beef dish was no better – would not recommend this place or visit again.
Spicy String Bean’s. So good!This is my go to delivery Chinese food in Eastie. Although I can see it from my house I still let them bring it to me. Why get involved with the shady characters who usually congregate out front. The bone on spare ribs are very good as well. Not perfect but more hit than miss when I’m in the mood for an 8000 calorie meal.
I don’t really think this place is my style which is difficult because I love ethnic foods but I order their crab Rangoon and its filled with onions and not very well balanced. Their egg drop soup is pretty good but their shrimp & lobster sauce was piecey, lukewarm and waaay too sweet for me. Their delivery was also horribly overpriced and took them forever to find our location which given the instructions should’ve been cake.
Delish… An enormous amount of food…Spring roll = awesome, crispy, a little greasy but in a good waySpare ribs = delish, huge portionPork fried rice = not good, didnt taste like anything at all, but it was a very dark brown… But it actually worked out becauseCurry chicken: really really good, and goes even better with rice… May have been weird with pork friend rice, but my rice was conveniently blandOrdered this for delivery while staying at an airport hotel, was skeptical but pleasantly surprised!! Not That Great. This mostly-delivery place gets high marks for low prices and a varied menu, as well as speedy delivery times and excellent English-speaking order taker. But I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. The ‘Crispy Beef’ combination that i ordered was barely edible, with chewy pieces of odd-tasting beef which I could not finish, and the fried shrimp was obviously old and reheated, its batter coating more like armor plate. The spring roll was excellent however, perfectly crisp and delicious, as was the generous portion of pork fried rice with big chunks of juicy pork and no peas!
Great prices. This is pretty good chinese food, but the best thing is the amount of food you get for the price. Order one of the House Combination platters (you pick one meat dish and two appetizers). It is more than enough food for two people and only costs like $8.00
The Best Chinese in EBo. The best period. The house special combination delivered to your door is enough food to feed three people and costs $13 with the tip!
