Good food bad really bad service.

Not good. The food was over priced, not very tasty, and the management doesn’t respond to complaints promptly. I spent $150 on a meal for two that I could have made at home. I will not be returning.

I highly recommend Ecco! I was on a girls trip last weekend and past through Boston on our way home. All 7 of us agree that the food, atmosphere, drinks, wait staff were fantastic. The food was delicious and hot when served. I had the chilean sea bass special and it was to die for. The eggplant appetizer was also very good.

The food here has changed drastically for the better. The specials are usually amazing and the Martinis are strong and delicious. The short ribs areSo tender and juicy it’s unbelievable. The lobster macaroni sticks to your ribs assuring a good nights rest. And those damn truffle fries are golden pieces of heaven

Never Again!. Ecco has taken a serious DIVE since their previous cook left them. This explains why they are offering Groupons to bring people back into their establishment. Their menu sounds way better than it actually tastes! The food was very bland and horrible. I should have just whipped our plates back to the waitress as if they were Frisbees. I got the peppered tuna ($24.95) and it was not worth a dime. It was so tiny, tasteless, and left me unfulfilled. My husband and my mother both got the 14 oz steaks ($24.95 each ) and they BOTH said the meat was super tough and flavorless. Even the broccoli that came with their dishes was near its expiration date. For appetizers we got a sweet and tangy Calamari — and a ‘sparsely there’ carpaccio salad. The calamari was average and the carpaccio was a huge insult! The very first time I came to Ecco over 2 years ago, I thought the food was fantastic. SO when my husband got the Groupon, I thought it was a GREAT place to take my mother. Boy, was it an awful choice! Now I understand why they try to lure in new customers with a coupon. The food is pathetic, the waitresses are clueless, and the overall experience was absolutely terrible. All the reviews on here say the food is just average. Wish I had read those before…So why settle for super mediocre food at high gourmet prices? They should just shut down. If you want advice from a previous quality control specialist, this is your warning. The quality of food at Ecco is horrendous.I will never come back here or suggest this place to even my own enemy.

Ecco, East Boston. This restaurant was great! We had spent the evening on the water, and docked at a Piers dock in East Boston (beautiful). We wanted a casual but good restaurant and Ecco was all that and more. Everyone’s meal was delicious, including apps and desserts! The waitress was great, knew when to come over and when to leave us alone. My husband and I really needed a night away from the kids, and Ecco was a perfect destination. I highly recommend it, and we will be back!

Great dining experience. I don’t get out much and I am a good cook, so when I do go out I have high expectations. I went out to Ecco for the first time last night with my husband and another couple. We started with appetizers. The short rib shumai and the tuna tartar Nachos. Both were delicious. The shumai was savory and the tuna was light and fresh. I had the BRAISED SHORT RIBS OF BEEF WITH CHIANTI APRICOT SAUCE. The meat fell of the bone and was very flavorful. The mash potatoes were a nice compliment. I loved the sweet and sour baby spinach. My husband had the HIBACHI SALMON FILLET. Delicious. I am so glad we found this restaurant. I will be back!
