Jevelis is my go to for solid American Italian food. Huge selection of delicious dishes. Favorites are the bruschetta, lobster ravioli, fettuccini Alfredo and veal scallopini Marsala. Potato skins are also on point. Great pub style apps.

Good Italian. Very good quality food and service. Excellent value and better than similar places in the North End. I can usually park in front and walk in, try that in the North End.
Pure Classic Italian-American. What a thoroughly enjoyable place! Dating from 1924, this is probably the oldest Italian restaurant in Boston and serves up classic Italian-American dishes with some of the friendliest service around. The crowd is an interesting mix of East Boston locals and clued-in airport visitors, and the pacing of the meal was relaxed and unhurried. I loved the fresh-baked braided loaf of Italian bread that was served warm, but would have preferred butter that was not in a plastic tub. We started with a couple of classic martinis while we perused the menu. Seeing clams casino as a featured appetizer , we received six enormous succulent clams dressed with breadcrumbs, butter, bacon and lemon. A special for the month of June was the lobster ravioli — ten huge half-moon pillows of pasta stuffed with fresh lobster meat and served in a garlic cream sauce containing yet more fat chunks of lobster. The veal piccata was especially good, with a sauce far more delicate and nuanced than we’ve had anywhere else, and thin-pounded tender veal medallions that melted after one bite. The wine list is short and affordable. I was not surprised to see chilled Lambrusco served in large glass carafes.
Great food, bad service. The food is great and reasonably priced! very traditional italian food like chicken parm and spaghetti and meatballs (i love the chicken/broc/ziti in olive oil & garlic sauce)some of the waistaff are great…women who have grown up in eastie and know how to treat locals. however, if they don’t recognize you, be prepared to ask for water refills and wait a long time for your check.
