Ok so I love this place. I found it when I came to Boston on business about 4 years ago and got stuck at Logan overnight. It’s a local pub, primarily Italian menu. The beer is always cold, the food is always hot and fresh and the staff is always friendly. App, entree and a couple of drinks will run you about $35. The portions are big and I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s a little off the beaten path if you’re a traveller but I promise it’s worth it.

Perfect Sports Bar. This place is really the perfect sports bar and casual restaurant right in the heart of a residential part of East Boston about ten minute walk from the airport stop. For our first visit, we arrived late on a Monday night just prior to the kitchen closing and they happily sat us at a hightop in the bar. The televisions were a bit noisy (but that is part of the deal for a sports bar, right?) and served us a terrific Italian dinner for two special for just $19 complete. Not each. That was the total bill. Huge salads, big basket of fresh warm italian rolls, massive plates of ziti and tender chicken parm. Our second visit last night was during normal dining hours, and we saw the big list of specials out front — the seafood canneloni was tempting but I got the Meat Trio of steak tips, lamb tips, and sausage. Although I had requested ‘medium’ it was done to about medium-well, but still very tasty, not overly sweet. I was pleased they had Sam Adams Octoberfest beer on draft as well as Guinness, both of which were poured perfectly. Service got off to a slow start since the place was packed but once we got our bread basket (seriously, the best bread I’ve had in Boston pub, ever) things picked up. Also, their housemade cannolis are among the finest in Boston. They are huge, filled to order with not-too-sweet ricotta and only about $3.

Good portions, good prices. This is a nice neighborhood bar with huge portions of pretty good food at excellent prices. On Wednesdays they have a half priced pizza day. There is also a good regular neighborhood crowd and it is a great place to watch the Sox game with a beer and a bite to eat.It does look bad from the outside because the windows are small, but inside it is clean, bright and friendly.
