Just GO.. In a city that almost prides itself on making the best restaurants nearly impossible to find, this place is in a class by itself. First of all, its in East Boston, a foodie paradise largely ignored by visitors despite its proximity to the Wharf District and easy Blue Line access. Secondly it is located inside a working marina and shipyard, and you’ll likely be intimidated by the burly guard at the security gate. His name is Mike and he is a big sweetie, all bark and minimum bite. Walk over to Jeffries Point from Maverick or (god forbid) drive your car as there is plenty of parking.Tucked well inside the shipyard in a building that formerly housed the lamented Scup’s is the newest outpost of KO Pies, a friendly and casual Australian restaurant justly known for their incredible, delectable, crusty, flaky, meaty, and filling savory pies. Fillings range from Irish Stew to Curried Chicken to Veggie to Lamb and some others. Doesn’t matter what you pick, as they are all fantastic. Beer and wine license and a sunny patio for outdoor dining, along with a few indoor tables. Just go already.
