I was recommended this place by some American friends and said I’d try it after checking in to my airbnb. Arrived in at 5.30 pm and was seated straightaway. Had a beef enchilada, pork and cheese pupusa (great recommendation from the waitress) and a gorgeous diablo shrimp dish…. Crisps and water complentary as expected.Obviously being Irish I’m not used to American portion sizes so couldn’t finish everything unfortunately but excellent food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended

Breakfast and Brunch Buffet. Full discloure here: I detest buffets, everything about them. I’ve been to the $65 per person luxury breakfast buffet at the Langham Hotel and hated it. So imagine how shocked I was to fall in love with the brunch buffet at La Hacienda? This spotlessly clean, spacious and stylish restaurant, about 5 minutes walk from Maverick Station offers a $7 buffet that is probably (almost certainly) the best in the city.Arrayed along a 30 foot serving line is a double row of chafing dishes featuring every kind of egg, sausage, bacon, pancakes, plaintain, buffalo wings, fresh fruit, cheese, arepas, pupusas, carne asada, and so on. More than I could possibly list. When a dish is getting half-empty, it is instantly whisked away and replaced with a fresh one by the warm and gracious staff. The line is spaced perfectly to prevent overcrowding and there is also a full bar where you can order bloody maries, mimosas, or other brunch cocktails.
