We went here in April. We got off the bus and it was cold and desolate on the streets. We found this pub and it was warm and inviting for our family. The drinks were good, the staff were accommodating and the food was nice. I got the crab cakes, which were not frozen and mostly crab. They were good. My husband got the fish and chips which was a huge piece of haddock. It was crispy and tasty. We were happy to have been here.

I can’t believe that for years I just walked by this place.. As a tourist, I walked by the Newes probably for ten years and never stopped in. However, now I don’t go to the Vineyard without at least one visit. And sometimes, two or three. This cozy, pub-like place has a friendly wait staff and serves very good food. Pasta, fish and chips, French dip sandwiches, steaks, and more. Check out the daily specials on the chalkboard. One of the few Edgartown restaurants open year round. Reasonable prices, too.
