Just OK. My pasta tasted like dish water and way over cooked.Service was horrid. Now this all could have changed as I have not been back for over a year as there are far better Italian restaurants in Falmouth
We frequent this restaurant often as we live nearby. It is excellent. The lunch specials are generously prepared for prices starting as low as $13. I’m a foodie and picky for that matter and this place gets 2 thumbs up.
The food here is definitely hit or miss. We had a table of 4 and 2 of us were disappointed in the pasta dishes. The portions are ridiculously huge and the reliance on sliced garlic is a bit much. I eat a lot of Italian and I have never seen a marinara this loaded with garlic. That said, it is a cute and charming place, and the waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable. If I do return I will try to split a dish because the plate that was put before me had at least a pound of pasta on it, and the leftovers comfortably fed 2 people! I know diners like bang for their buck, but we also like reasonable portions.
Get the Spicy Fried Calamari. Hit or miss but nice setting
Excellent food preparation, presentation, taste, and value. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.
Best in Falmouth. I must disagree with the reviewer who said to avoid the specials. I usually can’t get past their specials and have tried several. The Sweet Potato Encrusted Scrod is wonderful, as is the Short Rib Cacciatore. I have never been disappointed in whatever I order. In my view, this restaurant is on par with the best in Boston’s North End.
Lived it fast service great preparations and sizes; just wish they had more Italian wines by the glass or even some cool half bottlles
