Excellent. Ate here every few weeks this past summer with my boyfriend and we could not have been happier with the food and atmosphere of this gem right at the beginning of Falmouth Main Street. The food is always fresh and the pasta is homemade and perfectly al dente. Everything from the tasty appetizers to the authentic pasta to the decadent dessert is everything a third generation Italian could ask for!
Totally enjoyable dinner. We ate at Osteria on 10/25; I had the pollo involtini, and my husband had the pasta special, which was spaghetti with scallops. The appetizer was a little cheese board with hard cheeses and slices of mortadella, speck, and prosciutto (I think). We were surrounded by people who were obviously regulars, all having a good time. Our server was also the bartender, and she couldn’t have been more attentive or personable. The food was delicious, not huge portions but not skimpy, either. We are definitely going back.
Quality. This is a place for those seeking food like you find in the great restaurants of northern Italy. Would not suggest it if you think Italian food is from a restaurant like the Olive Garden. This is as close as you can get to the better restaurants of Little Italy (NYC) the North End (Boston), or the hill (St. Louis)… or those in Bologna, Italy.
