The Quarterdeck Restaurant has excellent food, ranging from great steak dishes to pasta and seafood plates. Although some of the waitstaff has been known to be cranky (as explained in other reviews), most of the staff does try to create a positive and welcoming environment for all it’s consumers. The QD is a must- try place in Falmouth, so please come and enjoy any time!
Really, really bad service. We recently dined here as an extended family outing wed been planning for a while. Other than the hostess that seated us, our service was really, really rude. The waitress made no effort to conceal her irritation of having a large group and showed annoyance when minor requests were made (even to a child politely asking for a refill). If anyone in our group had been inconsiderate or misbehaved I would have understood, but that was definitely not the case. The food was fine but not worth enduring a blatantly disrespectful staff. Needless to say, the fun evening out we had been looking forward to was a bust.
Not a great first impression. Went here with my mom and boyfriend. When we entered, there was a young staff member chatting away to his friend, and could not have cared less that we were there. We were eventually seated. The hostess did not seem to want to be there, leaning up against the counter and unable to give a smile. HOWEVER, we did have an awesome waitress who was welcoming, quick and attentive. The food was solid. I had the chicken parm, and my mom had the fried clams. Both great. The waitress also gave us tips on what to do on 4 July, and spoke to us like we were old friends. It was great. Will definitely go back and hopefully the younger staff members will be in better moods.

Below deck decor. Pub like atmosphere. Tried the blackened scallops, the lobster roll, and a burger. All solid to excellent (scallops). Recommend.
