Racism at Shuckers. We never got to give this restaurant a chance for its food due to the inhospitable staff and manager. We were a small group and made a reservation on Opentable. When we arrived the restaurant had many free tables and we were mostly people of color. We noticed some concern from the manager when we showed up and it seemed he was intent on communicating that concern to his hostess staff who then held us at the entrance for about 7 minutes with no real reasons. Once we insisted on being seated we realized the overt resistance and decided against eating there. I’m surprised that a restaurant so close to the MBL (where we were residing) can afford to be racist, let alone in this day and age.
