Awesome chicken salad sandwich!
Best Italian sub I’ve ever had. Really, really delicious sandwiches. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and the service is very quick. Also, it’s affordable! I highly recommend this place.
The bread was still warm. Holy cow. A phenomen sandwich and a sparkling crew behind the counter! Come here!!
The State Street Sandwich is awesome!. The prosciutto, the fresh bread, vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh basil and balsamic vinegar dressing make this the best sandwich in Boston – better than anything in the North End. Great prices, too.
Fresh and fast. While you wouldn’t think a sandwhich shop could be THAT much better than the rest, this one is! The proof is the long line during lunch and the many workers behind the counter. You must try this place. The meats are high quality and actually flavorful. The ham in particular has a hint of honey maple I think. The breads are fresh out of the oven and still warm when you’re eating it. All ingredients are fresh. Ever taken a bite of an unripened tomato and it ruined your sandwhich because you had to dig it out and get mayo and mustard on your hands? Well, that won’t happen at Al’s. Literally everything is top quality, right down to the tomatoes on your sandwhich. I go there on nice days when I can take my sub to a Faneuil Hall park bench. People have come up to me and asked where I got my sandwhich.. it looks THAT good!!
