Very chill, excellent drinks and good atmosphere. Try the potato skins for your own good. Seriously. There are a few tourist traps in the area, please go here instead for a pint and some appetizers instead.
Great pub in the Financial District! We loved our meal here – the food wasn’t the best, but was quite good. We had the buffalo wings, fish n’ chips, and baby back ribs – all of it was well prepared and seasoned.Even through my jet lag, I remember enjoying myself immensely. Thumbs up!
The atmosphere was quaint. But the food was very simple and tourist. I would not say that the food is authentic Irish food. I would venture and try somewhere else.
We came here for lunch. I had the Fish and Chips and my partner had the Shepherd’s Pie. We both loved our meals! Delicious and well seasoned.
The best Irish Pub in Boston!. I’ve been in Boston 3 times and had dinner at The Black Rose every single time! The service, the food and the ambiance is awsome!I recommand it to everyone! Their shepard’s pie is the best in the worldJoan Boudreaufrom Quebec, Canada
I stumbled across the Black Rose while trying to avoid the crowds at the nearby Faneuil Hall Market. The place was perfect. Mussles were fantastic, wait staff friendly and very quick. Will absolutely eat here again.
Great character near ferry to Charlestown. We arrived back to Quincy’s Market for lunch but it was a zoo. We hit this place found in our travel guide instead. Typical Irish fare. We ordered Irish Stew, chowder, & mixed greens…oh and a beer and a cider. Total was just under $40. I don’t know if we were just so cold and hungry from our trip to the USS Constitution but I loved every bite. Great atmosphere, plus a stage for live music.
